Why Corona is a Pandemic?

Generally epidemic means an outbreak of the virus in a specific region that is losing control. Pandemic is world-wide in multiple countries and it spreads easily. The coronavirus outbreak had been labeled a pandemic by the World Health Organisation. WHO chief Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said it was now using the term because of deep concern over “alarming levels of inaction” over the virus.

  • According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) the global economy will shrink by 3% this year.
  • Shares in technology companies such as Zoom have shot up as more people rely on video conference calls and email to hold meetings or get tasks done.
